WHO: San Diego Padres vs. Cincinnati Reds
WHAT: It’s Paddack Day!
WHEN: Thursday, April 18th, at 7:10 p.m. PT
WHERE: PetCo Park
HOW: Watch on FOX Sports San Diego (or FOX Sports Go), listen on 97.3FM The Fan. Spanish broadcasts on FOX Deportes San Diego and XEMO 860AM.
WHY: Fernando Tatis Jr. has been the best hitter on the Padres this season and now he’ll be guaranteed the most plate appearances on the team tonight because for the first time in his career he is batting leadoff.
The Padres are on a three-game losing skid, but they have their ace pitching tonight. Chris Paddack (1.29 ERA) has still yet to receive a decision, but he is the best the Friars have to offer and tonight he will be trying to stop the losing streak.
Opposite Paddack will be Tanner Roark for the Reds. Roark similarly has not received a decision this season, but he has been one of the Reds’ better arms and he will pose a real challenge the Padres inconsistent offense.
