As for the game itself, this will be our first opportunity to see Joey Lucchesi, who finished last season with an 8-9 record and a 4.08 ERA in 26 starts. We’ll also be keeping our eyes peeled for the first hit of the season for new Padre Manny Machado.

Opposing Lucchesi will be Derek Holland, who joined the Giants last year and posted a 7-9 record to go with a 3.57 ERA in 30 starts.
