I’ve noticed there were several posts up on this site recapping the Padres’ hiring of Jayce Tingler, but no forum for readership to express their own views. Let’s remedy that.
On Monday, the club officially announced the signing of Tingler to a three-year (!) contract, which does indicate some level of long-term faith in the AJ Preller regime. Judging by how the Andy Green era went, we can probably expect to have Tingler as manager for a minimum of 7 seasons, regardless of how things go.
So, how y’all feeling regarding this hire?
