Howdy, all. Welcome back to another week of discussing Padres prospects. It’s still just the Arizona Fall League, the Mexican Pacific League, and the Dominican League in action, but still, plenty of of Padres prospects are putting in work. With that, let’s get to it:

  • Arizona Fall League: RHP Reggie Lawson and C Logan Driscoll continue to show out down in the AFL. Lawson made his 2nd appearance on Friday, going 4 scoreless innings while racking up 6 Ks and giving up 1 BB and 1 H. Driscoll also appeared in his 2nd game. He recorded 3 Hs, scoring 2 Rs and 1 RBI. On the other side of the spectrum, INFs Hudson Potts and Owen Miller continue to falter. Both players are batting below the Mendoza line, with Miller especially in a slump, going 0-17 in his last 5 games.
  • Dominican League: Josh Naylor continues to rake down in the DR; through Sunday, he’s batting .400/.444/.520 in 8 games. Naylor is playing for Escodigo, managed by potential Padres manager Jayce Tingler.
  • Mexican Pacific League: Standout over in the Mexican Pacific League is Rodrigo Orozco, a switch-hitting OF who split 2019 between AA-Amarillo and AAA-El Paso. Currently, he’s batting .429/.529/.643 in 5 games, a strong sign that he’s fully recovered from numerous nagging injuries after being acquired from the Blue Jays in April 2019.

That’s it for catching up. As always, I’ll post the key stats down in the comments. Feel free to add your own new
