Fernando Tatis Jr. selected as Padres Heart and Hustle Award winner

The Heart & Hustle Award will be presented on November 7th

The MLB Heart and Hustle Award is given to a player who shows a passion for the game of baseball and best embodies the values, spirit and traditions of the game.

This award is voted on by Major League alumni and active players. Each team selects one player who is nominated with 29 other players in the MLB.

For the Padres, Fernando Tatis Jr. was nominated. Although Tatis only played 84 games, he was a fan favorite. He is a talented player who was always making a flashy play.

This season, Tatis hit .317 with 22 home runs and stole 16 bases. He was definitely the most deserving player on the Padres to be nominated for this award.
