Trevor Hoffman will be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York today. Padres fans have been gathering in Cooperstown for the past week or so to experience the event. But for those of us not in New York, we will be gathering on our respective couches, in front of TVs and computers, or down at Petco Park to witness Hoffman's induction ceremony from afar.
The ceremony itself will begin at 10:30 am PT and air exclusively on MLB Network and stream live on MLB.com. But there will be coverage of the event starting at 9:00, which will undoubtedly include discussions of each inductee's career and the journey that led them to this weekend. So if you're eager toget the party started you'll want to tune in for that.
The Padres will be hosting a viewing party for Hoffman's ceremony and speech this morning. They will open the gates to the public at Petco Park at 10:00 am and will be showing the live stream on the big video board.
But for those who can't make it to that, feel free to join us here as you watch from your home and know you're amongst fellow Friar faithful.
