Hot off the latest win against the Rockies is the unfortunate news that Wil Myers will be going on the 10-day disabled list with “right arm nerve irritation”. An x-ray of Wil’s arm showed no structural damage while Dinelson Lamet is still sitting in the waiting room filling out the paperwork for the Twitter-prescribed MRI on his injured elbow.

Myers hasn’t had the best of health luck so far in the young season; he already took a game off last Saturday due to back tightness and was removed from Monday’s proceedings in the 5th inning due to “triceps discomfort”. He had smacked his first dinger of the year in the 1st inning of that game. In 3 games and 12 at-bats Wil has hit .250 with 3 hits, 2 strikeouts, and the aforementioned home run.
The injury to Myers’ right arm will give Hunter Renfroe the opportunity to man right field and get at-bats. The roster spot freed up by Myers’ absence will be Phil-led by Maton coming up from El Paso.
