The Padres will try to keep the heat up in Colorado by sending Joey Fuego to the mound to face Tyler Anderson and the Rockies in a mile high game 2 of 3.

Lucchesi (0-0, 2.79 ERA) has made only two starts in his budding MLB career but had his best outing against these Rockies while in San Diego, holding the Rocks scoreless on only 1 hit over 5 innings with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts. Tonight will also be Joey’s first start on the road though he’ll have a familiar opponent in Tyler Anderson.

Anderson (0-0, 7.56 ERA) had a very solid showing against the Padres in his last start in San Diego, holding the Friars scoreless while allowing only 4 hits and striking out 4 in 6 innings. The Rockies will have to hope for some home cooking to help stop their 1-3 skid at home and will get the benefit of a pitcher who prefers Coors Field: Tyler is 1-0 with a 0.73 ERA against the Padres at home.

Tonight’s game starts up at 5:40 PM PST. Without taunting you further, Christian Villanueva and Hunter Renfroe will appear in tonight’s contest. Let’s try to get a win streak going and keep the bats swinging!
