While it’s technically not Spring Training anymore we’ll get one more game to feast on before the regular season kicks off on Thursday. The Padres will take on their AAA affiliate in the El Paso Chihuahuas at Southwest University Park tonight.
It’s @LPerdomo61 on the hill for tonight’s game vs. @epchihuahuas at 5:05pm! Live coverage on @FOXSportsSD and @PadresRadio. Here’s the full lineup: pic.twitter.com/E4aIR0K4Zy

A lot of former Chihuahuas will be featured in tonight’s Padres lineup: Manuel Margot, Jose Pirela, Carlos Asuaje, Christian Villanueva and Austin Hedges all suited up for El Paso in the past couple years. Expect a cameo appearance from Hunter Renfroe tonight as well to complete the “Core Four” set.

If Forrestt Allday isn’t one of the top baseball names you’ve ever heard, I’m not sure what to tell you. Making their AAA debuts tonight will be Javy Guerra, Allen Craig, and Ruddy Giron. Guerra’s promotion to AAA seems to be in line with the “sink or swim” tact some have postulated the team taking on the once-promising shortstop. Not sure what Ruddy Giron is doing in AAA; I suspect he’ll swap places with Luis Urias eventually. Walker Lockett will take the bump for the Chihuahuas tonight.
I’m sure you’ve already read enough about Dinelson Lamet’s elbow.
Chris Young will not be a Padre this year, and for the time being it does not appear Carter Capps will either; the reliever was outrighted off of the 40-man roster and will start his season in El Paso.
You can #FetchTheFun tonight on Fox Sports San Diego tonight at 5:05 PM Left Coast Time.
