Last night I wrote about documented racist and sexist loudmouth Dan Sileo’s latest public display of meatheaded nonsense, and hooooooo-boy, was he displeased when he caught wind of it and presumably someone read it to him. In since-deleted tweets, which have been preserved in screencaps, Sileo opined that I am a “CANDY ASS” and “DISGRACE to LOSER BLOGGERs” among other things, in addition to complaining about me to the President of the United States as well as Gaslamp Ball’s parent company. All this accomplished was drawing far more attention to my post, along with inviting a flood of ridicule upon him from all corners of Padres Twitter. Many of those same Padres fans lodged complaints and ultimatums with the team and Sileo’s employer Entercom, and today, like a glove-wielding old-timey Southerner, they got their satisfaction.
Padres spokesperson on Dan Sileo: "We've been assured he will not be involved on Padres pre- or post-game shows."

This is great news for those who enjoy their sports without an accompaniment of vitriolic bigotry, as well as those who like their baseball talk to come from someone familiar with the sport.
