After a night of slumping the bats were ready to return. Ten hits, six runs, and a big fourth inning spelled victory for the San Diego Padres, taking the second game of three against the visiting Giants.

Luis Perdomo was tight tonight, throwing a full 6 innings and only allowing two run, despite only striking out 3 and allowing 7 hits. The key to his successful start were groundouts, 9 of ‘em. Baumann, Yates, and Hand came in to tie the winning bow, with Yates giving up a solo homer in the 8th.

Cory Spangenberg started off the scoring with an RBI single in the 2nd. Jabari did a Blash, hitting a solo HR at the start of the 4th. Then, Manuel Margot came in to crush one, knocking in Austin Hedges and Perdomo.

Then, in the 6th, Carlos Asuaje evened things out with an RBI single to give the Padres the sixth run needed for a 6-4 final. Friars win!
