2017 MLB Draft Day 1: When and how to watch

The 2017 MLB Draft is here, and the San Diego Padres are looking to build on an already strong Minor League system. AJ Preller and his team of scouts are ready to descend upon the 2017 draft class and put together a group of young men who will hopefully be important assets for future World Series runs.

MLB Network will kick off their coverage of the draft with a preview show at 3 p.m. PT. This will follow with live coverage of the draft (which will also be streamed live on MLB.com) beginning at 4 p.m. with the first round and Competitive Balance Round A. The second round and Competetive Balance Round B will only be streamed on MLB.com.

The Padres are picking 3rd in the draft this year. Today they have a pick in each of the first two regular rounds, plus a nice comp B pick.
