A year and eight months ago, the Padres were one of only two teams left in Major League Baseball without a cycle. Now, thanks to Wil Myers, they have two.
I was sitting on my couch watching the game. Fox Sports San Diego, knowing that Myers was just a triple away from the cycle, played a video of Kemp's (which, coincidentally ended with the triple as well). I was about to go on Twitter to make a dumb joke about them jinxing it, but got distracted and never hit the send button. The next thing I knew, Myers had hit the ball in the outfield, out of any defenders' reach. I stood up and yelled, "NO WAY" followed by a string of profanities. As Wil rounded second and the ball was bobbled by the outfielder I just screamed and got down on my knees.
I cried.
I'm still a bit teary-eyed as I type this. This Padres team is SO MUCH FUN.
It started with a single. Then @wilmyers hit a double. After that came a home run. And then ... pic.twitter.com/OR35bmi7vI

I think its time for the world to acknowledge that Wil Myers is a special player; and in all likelihood, a special lover.

Wil Myers becomes the first Padre who was never a Dodger to hit for the cycle. That's what's up.
