How cute is this? Carlos Asuaje’s mom tweeted the Padres yesterday afternoon to check on her son who had been hit by a pitch and removed from the game. The game wasn’t televised so as you might imagine a mother would become worried.
The Padres were kind enough to check on Carlos.
@ciafrei no update yet. We should know shortly and will let you know.

They soon got back to her let her know that Carlos was removed in a normal substitution.
@ciafrei he is just fine. He left the game as part of a normal substitution

Soon Padres fans were playing along, asking the Padres about Carlos, identifying themselves as various family members. See the thread mentioned below for actual tweets. Meanwhile Asuaje’s sister chimed in and confirmed that her mom is the best and that Padres fans are hilarious. As if we didn’t know that already.
This thread tho That actually is our mom, btw. Best mom in the world! ❤️ https://t.co/YOw1jHCQ1K
