The Padres kick off their East Coast road trip with a quick two-game series against the Baltimore Orioles. The first of the two game set will feature a matchup of MLB rookies Luis Perdomo and Tyler Wilson, who are both looking to build off their best starts of the season.

Perdomo, one of the Padres' offseason Rule 5 draft picks, made his third start of the year last Wednesday. The right-hander has struggled both as a starter and out of the bullpen for San Diego, so his three-run six-inning performance against the Marlins was a relative success, earning him his second Major League win (first as a starter).

Wilson's last start was much more successful, however, as the O's righty threw eight shutout innings of three-hit ball against the Red Sox last Thursday. The performance marked a career high in innings pitched as well as a career high in strikeouts, with six.
