Padres lose dignity and game to Rockies 2-1

Well it's Sunday and a series finale so I don't have to tell you that the Padres lost today.  This is not a good team, but I suppose I don't have to tell you that either.  As Ben Higgins (not the Bachelor) says, it's mind-boggling.  The only series finale they won was against the Cubs in the doubleheader that was supposed to turn the season around (it didn't).

I didn't watch or listen to today's game, but I got the gist of what happened, so I'll share it with you.  In the 6th inning Padres pitcher Christian Friedrich walked in a run giving the Rockies the lead.  The Padres answered back though in the 7th when Jon Jay slapped a ground ball to center and scored Alexei Ramirez.  For a brief moment it looked as if the Padres might possibly, not lose but in the end they did.  Rockie Mark Reynolds rocked the a first pitch from Kevin Quackenbush into the right field seats.  They held that 2-1 lead until the end.

If you're looking for positive news, well Matt Kemp made a sliding catch which was kind of fun to watch considering nothing about the Padres is fun to watch anymore.  Here, check it:
