More bad news from the Padres' rotation. Starter Robbie Erlin is hitting the DL with an elbow strain. No news is out about the nature or severity of the injury yet, but it's been reported by U-T's Dennis Lin:
The Padres continue to be hit by injuries. Robbie Erlin goes on the 15-day DL with an elbow strain. Righty Leonel Campos recalled.

In a corresponding move, righty Leonel Campos has been recalled from Triple-A and will take up residence in the bullpen.
This leaves a rotation of James Shields, Andrew Cashner, Colin Rea, Drew Pomeranz, and ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. No word yet on who will fill the rotation spot, but Brad Hand and Carlos Villanueva have experience starting in the MLB. Brandon Maurer started the spring as a potential rotation candidate, but those dreams were squashed not too long into spring training. I heard that Tim Lincecum was playing long toss somewhere in Arizona?
