The Padres kicked off their second annual Caravan today with a pep rally at Petco Park to celebrate the first sign of spring: Truck Day! The event was hosted by Jesse Agler, with Travis Jankowski and Cory Spangenberg there to meet with fans. I went for the free coffee and donuts. But it was nice to see familiar faces like Corey Brock, Bill Center, Wayne Partello, and Mike Grace. I also met Gaslamp Baller Pads4ever. But the big event was the giveaway of two tickets to Opening Day. I didn't win, but got some entertainment in the leadup.
Spang got the show going by showing off his true talent against a fan.

I was recruited for the second contest, a dance competition against Jankowski. While I came in second, behind an adorable baby, I feel like I won, because there is no video of the event on social media. Oh, I also got a ball signed by Travis.

At the end of the event, we waved goodbye to the equipment truck, desperately awaiting its return and the start of baseball season.
