Hunter Renfroe has only played 11 major league games after making his debut with the Padres. In that time he became a late season star by mashing balls all over the ball yard and even became the first player to put a ball on top of the Western Metal Supply building. Today it was announced that he has been named National League Player of the Week.

I don’t think you could have asked for a better debut. It’s too bad that the team would benefit from losing games at this point in the season due to draft order because Renfroe was prepared to carry this team on his back to the post season. He just needed more time.
I believe that children are our future.
