Major Petco Park concert announcement coming soon

Yet again, Petco Park will be playing host to at least one big concert in 2016. Yesterday the official Petco Park twitter account told us they would be making a big announcement about the concert.

Announcing a major concert tomorrow with @LiveNation at 2:00pm! Stay tuned!

And the time has come. In just a few short minutes, the Padres will announce the concert, and they're really making a big deal out of it by showing the announcement live on padres.com.

Last year Taylor Swift was the big headliner, and in 2014 it was Paul McCartney. Both times, the concert left Petco Park a mess with the outfield turned into just a giant patch of brown, dry grass. This year will probably be no different.
