Star Wars themed Padres hat looks like something I wouldn't buy

Matt Kartozian-USA TODAY Sports

I'm vaguely aware that Star Wars started selling new toys today on #ForceFriday but I am not really sure what the whole day entails.  I just saw on Big League Stew though that New Era has released 27 Star Wars themed MLB team hats, which to be frank look terrible.

It's Force Friday and even MLB caps are joining the 'Star Wars' party | Big League Stew - Yahoo Sports

The three teams that don't appear to have a "Star Wars"-themed cap for sale are the Boston Red Sox, Colorado Rockies and Tampa Bay Rays. So if you're a fan of one of those teams, you can either be disappointed or happy to be spared, based on your opinion of the product.

I was a fan of Star Wars as a kid.  I really tried to like the second trilogy but couldn't do it.  I'll admit that the previews for the new movie intrigue me but I've been burned three too many times already.  I'm not even much of a fan of Wilco's new album entitled Star Wars.

I like that Disney bought the franchise though because I'm hoping that they continue to make all the lame cartoons for the kids and start making the movies for my generation.  Anyway this Padres hat looks like something the team leadership would choose for our new uniforms.  Oof.

These aren't the hats you're looking for.  Move along.
