CBS's Jon Heyman is reporting that Josh Johnson will be undergoing his third Tommy John surgery.  Earlier in the month it was reported that Johnson had been shut down for the season after more arm soreness.  It takes a special kind of stubbornness and tenacity to continue this comeback that has been in the making since his last MLB start on August 6, 2013.

The Padres have signed Johnson for the past two seasons with the hopes that he'd bounce back to his former dominant self.  Whether they'll take that risk again is anyone's guess, but I can't imagine it will happen.  Still I hope that he does make it back one day.
