The Padres won't be sweeping this four-game set in Milwaukee after dropping game 2 last night, but tonight they'll look to get the edge in the series as they send Ian Kennedy to the mound.
Kennedy's coming off one of his best starts of the season, a seven-inning two-run performance against the Marlins. He didn't get a decision, though the Padres did go on to win it. Before that outing, Kennedy won two straight starts, going 12 total innings and allowing three combined runs while striking out 13 batters. Kennedy has faced the Brewers eight times in his career. He went 2-3 with a 3.71 ERA in those outings.
Pitching opposite the veteran Kennedy will be rookie Taylor Jungmann, who will be making his 11th career start. He's pitched well up to this point, going 5-3 with a 2.23 ERA in his first ten outings, and he hasn't allowed more than two runs in nine of those ten outings.
