The "unless" was just in case there was a no hitter/perfect game/ 4 home run game/etc. that will be somewhat equal to the excitement of seeing Matt Kemp hit for the first cycle in San Diego Padres history. But since none of those things happened, Kemp stands alone atop Mt. Series MVP until the next player climbs to the summit. It happens pretty often so it's not an impressive feat to climb Mt. Series MVP, but still.

SUCCESS.

I was going to write this directly following the cycle, but of course there was the possibility of an "unless", so I waited. Also, I do the points thing, but for this series, really...what's the point? I mean, I could have added up all the little hits and RBI, but nothing will stand up against the ELEVENTY BILLION points Matt Kemp got for hitting the cycle. I'm gonna have to add that to the points system now!

Anyways, the Padres didn't get the sweep, but Kemp got the cycle. Hopefully the Padres will return home and win each series. Couple sweeps would be nice too.

Oh, and Dubsco better have that fanpost going because HE WAS THERE.
