Not only are the Padres making these harder on me, you guys are making this harder on me. The Padres drop another series and are on a 5 game losing streak. In the last series, Jedd Gyorko and Yangervis Solarte were the options for series MVP. Being that you guys care so much about me, you gave them both the same amount of votes. Both Gyorko and Solarte secured 47% of the vote. Even Carli Lloyd got 6 recs in the comments.
But, that's fine. I'm alright. That's why the voting is there. To give you a choice.
You chose to make co-MVPs.
Maybe this series will be different.

Once again, this was a tough one to watch. Well, I mean, it was good to watch for a long time, then the ending got bad and you're like, "Dude, I thought you said this was a good movie" and you stop being friends. But, that's not the point.
Just like in the last series, there were two players who performed better than the rest and will be up for the series MVP recognition. This time, it was Matt Kemp and James Shields.
Matt Kemp had a good final two games for the Padres with 3 RBI overall and a home run in the series finale.
James Shields pitched a great game in the series opener. 7 strong innings giving up only 2 hits and 1 unearned run on a Yangervis Solarte error. He pitched as well as he could have but the offense and bullpen couldn't help him get the win in Pittsburgh.
The choice is yours for series MVP.
