As the clock ticks closer to 1 p.m.'s trade deadline it's looking like Craig Kimbrel will not end up with the Yankees. The Yankees were said to be very aggressive in their pursuit of Kimbrel, but A.J. Preller appear to be working on a deal elsewhere. Or they could just let time run out and keep this roster intact and pretend they're going to make a run at the playoffs.
Again hearing no traction with #Yankees and Kimbrel.

I'm guessing the Yankees aren't used to being left hanging in limbo. Preller is really making them sweat the deal. The Yanks are getting desperate and are now said to have reversed their stance and are open to including Jorge Mateo in a deal.
yankees havent heard back from padres on kimbrel in many hours. yanks would have included mateo to get a deal.

There's no telling how many other deals Preller has up in the air. Or he passed out a few hours ago and forgot to set an alarm.
#Yankees were willing to put Mateo in offer for Kimbrel and never hear back from #padres so belief is they have deal elsewhere

This is fun.
