Padres will reveal 2016 All-Star logo Friday morning

Will they also be revealing a uniform color change?

Jake Roth-USA TODAY Sports

With the 2015 All-Star Break coming to a close, it's time to start looking forward to next year when the festivities come to San Diego. The Padres are already counting down to next year's All-Star Game and fans are gearing up for the event after waiting so long to get it back in our city.

To officially kick off the year-long countdown, the Padres will be revealing the 2016 All-Star logo tomorrow morning, 10:00 am PT, at Petco Park.  It will be broadcast live on Fox Sports San Diego, and online at padres.com, and Padres fans are feeling mixed emotions in anticipation of the reveal.

Many have been speculating for a while that next year's Padres will be sporting new uniforms.  And  many are hoping that the team will follow Gaslamp Ball's lead and bring back the brown. The All-Star logo could give us a hint as to what - if any - changes will be made in the Padres' colors next season. Therefore, tomorrow's reveal could either dash our hopes or make our dreams come true.

But regardless of the colors used in the All-Star logo, I just hope the Padres stray from the boring/bland/vanilla designs they've grown accustomed to over the past few years. I hope they make the logo distinctly and undeniably "San Diego." I also hope they take a page from the Reds this year and pay homage to their past. This is the organization's chance to impress after what has been a very disappointing and underwhelming season so far, and to partially redeem themselves after some poor design decisions in recent years.

What are your predictions for the All-Star logo?
