I was looking at some numbers yesterday and even though the Padres aren't really doing well in general with a 35-38 record it's really only a few opponents that have given them the most trouble. Of the 14 opponents the Padres have played they've only had losing records against 4 of them. And three of those opponents were played in short series and two were interleague teams that the Padres won't face again until the World Series. It's the Dodgers that have really put a hurt on the team. Even then they're only two games under .500 in the season series against them.
I guess the good news is that the Padres don't play the Dodgers again until September and they have some more games against the Rockies scheduled in the next few months. For whatever reason, looking at the season this way gives me more hope for the 2015 Padres.
