That game last night against the Astros really got away from the Padres. I tuned in some time in probably the 3rd inning, the Padres were losing but the game was close until about the 5th when I had arrived home and turned on the broadcast. That's when things really went to sh_t. I kept trying to convince myself that the 2015 Padres are a comeback team and but I've found that once they get behind by say 11 runs, the game is basically over.
Last night's loss by 11 runs was the most lopsided in Petco Park history beating out an old 10 run loss from the 2010 season. Don't worry though it's not even close to their most lopsided home loss for the club. On Jun 28, 1969 they lost to the Dodgers by 19 runs. Oh and to make matters worse they were shutout by Don Drysdale that day too.

Meanwhile the 2015 Padres have fallen from a 10-5 start to a 11-11 record that just won't cut it if they hope to contend in this division for long. Most of the failure lies at the feet of the pitchers, specifically the bullpen. Basically every run they're scoring they're giving right back so far.
