Our Padres are coming off a 12th-inning walkoff in their series opener against the Dodgers. Tonight they look to keep the winning spirit alive as Ian Kennedy takes the mound and goes for his first win against the Dodgers in eight tries. The righty is 0-4 in his last seven against L.A. That includes an 0-2 record and 4.70 ERA in four starts this season. Kennedy's bane, however, has been a 3.29 run support average, which is 10th lowest in the league.
But, again, the Padres are coming off an extra-inning victory against a Dodgers team that is running away with the division after a miraculous midseason turnaround. Los Angeles will give the ball to Zack Greinke, who boasts an 10-game undefeated streak against NL West opponents. Additionally, Greinke is 4-0 with a 2.00 ERA all-time against San Diego. In his most recent start against the Friars, on April 1st, he kept the offense to only two runs on two hits through five innings of work.
The game gets underway on FSSD at 8:00 pm.
GO FRIARS!! KEEP THE FAITH!!
