Last week, Gaslamp Ball celebrated its 10th Anniversary. On the same day my favorite band in the whole world, Weezer, celebrated its 23rd birthday. It's become something of a personal tradition over the years to marry these two loves of mine by making up alternate Padres/GLB-themed lyrics for Weezer songs.
- An ode to keeping the faith: "Devotion"
- GLB's Eighth Anniversary Tribute: "Gaslamp Ball Memories"
- Celebrating Ian Kennedy's return from the DL: "Ian's Back"
- A farewell to Tim Stauffer: "Halfway Across the Country" and "Eulogy for a Stauffbeard"
"GLB In The Sun"
(sung to the tune of Weezer's "Island in the Sun")

Don't bring up Matt Holliday
He still hasn't touched home plate
Jayson Werth is such a tool
And his dad's an a_____e too
Gaslamp Ballin' in the sun
We're game-threadin' and having fun
And it makes me want to watch that video with the trains

Drama's flirt lair's callin' me
Here's some cards from TTG
Who is jbox? It's unknown
Dex's pant is full of bone
Gaslamp Ballin' in the sun
We're game-threadin' and having fun
And it makes me want to watch that video with the trains
We'll watch the game together
We'll love the Friars forever
We'll never feel bad anymore
