The Padres will try to even up the series at Dodger Stadium tonight in the penultimate game of the season. It'll be Robbie Erlin on the mound trying to end his short 2015 season on a positive note. With the season's end just two days away this will be his last opportunity to make a lasting impression on the team going into the offseason.

Erlin pitched a gem his last time out, throwing seven scoreless innings while allowing only two hits and a walk. It was a complete turnaround from his season debut one start prior, when he gave up seven runs through only three innings of work. The 24-year-old southpaw has faced the Dodgers twice in his career, once as a starter and once as a reliever. He combined for 8 1/3 innings in those two outings, yielding only four hits, one walk, and no runs while striking out eight batters.

The Dodgers, still looking to gain home field advantage in the postseason, will send Zack Greinke to the mound for his last start of the regular season. Greinke makes his career-high 19th start of the season this evening. His 1.68 ERA leads the league and he is undefeated (4-0) in his last five games.
