The Padres are up in Los Angeles for their final series of the season. While they are hoping to finish their 2015 run on a positive note, the Dodgers will be battling to attain home field advantage in the playoffs.
Casey Kelly gets the start tonight, hoping for a turnaround from his previous outing. He gave up six runs through his first two innings on Sunday, though he retired 11 straight batters afterwards. That was his first start since 2012, though he did pitch two innings in relief on September 19th, allowing one earned run and striking out three batters in that appearance.
L.A. will send Alex Wood to the mound for the series opener. The Dodgers acquired Wood from Atlanta on July 30th and he's made 11 starts since then, going 4-6 with a 4.55 ERA. Like Kelly, he'll be looking to rebound from his last outing, when the Diamondbacks tagged him for eight earned runs on 11 hits through 5 1/3 frames.
