The final home game of the season for the San Diego Padres is upon us. After losing the first two games of the series, the Friars hope to end their 2015 home slate on a positive note and win one last game in front of their home crowd to prevent a sweep at the hands of the Brewers.
Ian Kennedy gets the nod for San Diego, also hoping to end his 2015 season on a high note. He is 0-3 with a 7.68 ERA in his last four starts. He was tagged with a loss against the Brewers at Miller Park in August, giving up four earned runs in seven innings of work. Career-wise, he is 2-4 with a 3.88 ERA in nine starts against the Brewers.
Going opposite the veteran Kennedy, in a rematch of that August game in Milwaukee, will be rookie Taylor Jungmann, who has struggled even more than Kennedy lately. In his last four starts, he has an 0-2 record while giving up seven homers and posting a 9.61 ERA in that stretch. He won his start against Kennedy and the Padres on August 5th, allowing only two earned runs through his seven innings on the mound.
