Ian Kennedy didn't fare too well in his last outing against the Giants. He gave up four runs on nine hits in 6 1/3 innings in a loss to SF back in June, so he'll be looking to redeem himself tonight.  He's given up three runs in six innings in each of his last two starts, but also collected a total of 12 strikeouts.

IPK's counterpart for the day will be Ryan Vogelsong, who will be facing San Diego for the first time this season in today's finale. Despite being a pitcher friendly atmosphere, Petco Park hasn't been so friendly to Vogelsong in the past. Overall, he has a 1-3 record and 7.63 ERA in SD. The road in general has been rough on the right-hander, who's gone 0-3 with a 7.65 ERA in his last four away from AT&T Park.

Catch the finale of the series at Petco Park at 1:10 PT this afternoon.
