The Padres released their 2015 schedule

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODA

A few days ago the Padres and the rest of MLB released their 2015 schedules.  The Padres did it in grand fashion with the creative use of a Vine.  Jodes0405 posted it earlier, but I'll put it here again for your continued enjoyment.

When a new season scheduled is released I always like to see who the Padres start and end their season against and  whether it's a home or an away series.  Next I'll check to see which interleague games the team plays and I'll groan or giggle depending on the team.  Then I'll check my birthday, just because.

San Diego Padres release 2015 schedule | padres.com

Interleague play in 2015 will bring the Houston Astros (April 27-29), Oakland Athletics (June 15-16) and Texas Rangers (August 31- September 2) to San Diego. 2015 will mark the first time the Padres will play the Astros as an American League team, the first time Oakland has come to San Diego since 2009 and the second-ever visit to Petco Park for the Texas Rangers (last in 2012). The Padres will host their natural rivals the Seattle Mariners at Petco Park (June 30-July 1). Interleague play will also include trips to Seattle (May 12-13), Anaheim (May 25-27), Oakland (June 17-18) and Texas (July 10-12)

Every year the schedule is pretty similar.  The Padres play NL West opponents to start and end the season and a whole bunch of others throughout.  I thought I'd find out which teams the Padres play the most on each game of the season, going back to 1969.  It looks like, more often then not, the Padres start and end the season playing the Giants.

Here's the rest of the results I came up with:
