Cody Decker a player for the El Paso Chihuahuas has gained quite a bit of notoriety for playing pranks on his teammates.  The difference between Decker and other clubhouse pranksters is that he makes his pranks into viral YouTube films.  His most popular "On Jeff Ears" convinced current Padre Jeff Francoeur that their teammate was deaf.

What we didn't know until last night when Decker was a guest on Keith Olbermann's show was that Francoeur nearly had his revenge.  Apparently Decker found out about the scheme after it was nixed due to the expense of the prank or Francoeur's call to the big leagues.

Francoeur had kicked around the idea of asking El Paso Manager Pat Murphy to convince Decker that he had been promoted to the Major Leagues for the first time.  Francoeur would provide a plane ticket to the city where the Padres were then playing.  Once Decker arrived he'd be met and given another ticket to send him immediately back to El Paso.  Cody explains at the 5:05 mark in the below video.

"It would have crushed my dreams [SNIP] I just don't think he was that cruel to do that."
