The critics of the newly named Bud Selig Hall of Fame Plaza at Petco Park have been understandably upset with the Padres organization. They've also been hilarious.
Upon scanning Twitter this morning I saw the hashtag #BSplaza gaining momentum. I loved it, because it works on two different levels. First it can be accurately used as an abbreviation for Bud Selig Plaza or it can be interpreted as Bullsh_t Plaza for the way the Padres named a corner of the ballpark after a commissioner who did practically nothing for San Diego.
Tip of the cap to whoever came up with #BSplaza

Fortunately for us, Matthew T. Hall combed the internets to find that Scott McClain was the one who coined the term.
I'm just calling it the BS Plaza - can't tell me that's not an apt description #SeligHallofFamePlaza #Padres @Padres

I like the way his mind works. It's so perfect and so simple that you wonder why you didn't think of it first. That's how you know it's genius.
