I've already watched Mark Grant sing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame" twice and I think I've got a few more viewings in me before bedtime. Take a look and a listen:
'Holy cow!' @Padres broadcaster Mark Grant channels Harry Caray in excellent 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' rendition: http://t.co/ta01GCXoWM

I adore how he yells out to Padres manager Buddy Black at the end of the song. "HEY BUDDY! BUDDY! LET'S GET SOME RUNS!"
It's great to see Grant let loose. It feels like in recent years that old stuffed shirt, Dick Enberg, has tried his darndest to keep Grant on a tight leash. Maybe that's reality or just my interpretation of it. It's hard to say.
To hear Grant talk though about his passion for the game and his roots, he almost sounds like he's getting choked up. He also defends himself against those critics that call him a homer for rooting for his team while broadcasting, saying Harry Carey and Jack Brickhouse did it and they're the guys he grew up listening to in Joliet, Illinois in his youth.
Here's Grant talking about the honor to Enberg:
God, I love him.
