GLB Draft Coverage

Happy Draft Day, Gaslamp Ballers!

The 2014 MLB First-Year Player Draft is finally upon us, so we'll soon be getting some new blood in our farm system. We have (well, mostly Wonko has) been gearing up for the draft for the past month by reviewing some recent years' drafts as well as taking a look at San Diego's organizational depth at each position. This year our Padres will be picking 13th in the first round, 10th in the second round, and 12th in all subsequent rounds.

Wonko's reviews of past Padres drafts: 2010 2011 2012 2013

Over the next few days, MLB Network and/or will be providing live coverage of the 2014 Draft, starting with a preview show this afternoon. MLB Network will only be showing the preview show and the first two rounds (along with comp rounds A & B), but will have live streaming of each of the 40 rounds.
