The Padres have been shutout 11 times in 66 games

Drew Hallowell

Yesterday marked the 11th time the Padres were shutout this season, giving them the Padres' record after 65 games.  Today they are tied with the 1969 Padres for most shutouts in 66 games.  That's one shutout for every 6 games played.  Pretty pathetic, even for the Padres.  This team is on a record pace, if they continue on this path they'll be shutout 27 times his year.  The 1969 and 1976 teams hold the current record, both were shutout 23 times during their 162 season.

On the flip side, the 2004 Padres were only shutout 3 times, once every 54 games.
