Eric Stults will take the mound tonight in game 2 at Chase Field. He's coming off a rough outing against the Cubs in which he gave up five runs in 4 2/3 innings. Stults is still winless on the road this season while posting a 5.18 ERA. But he's only received run support once in those five starts. Stults is 4-4 all-time against the Diamondbacks, but 2-3 at Chase Field.
Opposing Stults will be Wade Miley, who hasn't had much luck against San Diego in the past. In 10 career starts against the Friars, he is 1-6 with a 5.09 ERA. He most recently faced them on May 4th, giving up three runs in seven innings, though not factoring into the decision. Miley lost each of his last two starts, allowing seven runs over 12 2/3 innings of work.
