Our Padres will conclude their trip to Cleveland with a doubleheader today. First up, at 9:05 this morning, will be Eric Stults who will try to bounce back from a disappointing season debut. The lefty only threw four innings in his start against the Marlins, surrendering five runs on seven hits as the Padres went on to lose 8-2. Stults' only prior appearance against the Indians came in 2012 while he pitched for the White Sox. He gave up two runs on four hits in six innings of work during a 3-2 loss in Cleveland.
Facing Stults will be Zach McAllister, who is looking to improve from his last start, which took place last Wednesday in the tail end of another doubleheader. The right-hander only lasted four innings, giving up three runs on six hits and four walks, while also striking out four batters along the way.
