It's been SO long (51 hours and 11 minutes, but who's counting?) we'll finally get to see our Friars back on the field. Sure, it's interleague play, but after yesterday's unexpected off day it'll be good to sit down and watch some Padres baseball again.
These two teams haven't clashed in the regular season since 2008, but they saw each other quite a bit in Spring Training so they're not completely unfamiliar with each other. Hopefully TyTy can help us get that victory in today's series opener so we can get a win streak going.
It's Yonder Alonso's birthday so everyone's expecting him to follow up Alexi Amarista's birthday performance with one of his own. Seriously, if he doesn't homer tonight he's off the team. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YONDER!!
