Lake Elsinore Storm staff plunges into frigid water for charity

The 2014 Polar Plunge was a success, and we couldn't do it without your support!

The Lake Elsinore Storm staff plunged into the frigid water of Big Bear Lake on Saturday afternoon to raise funds for the Special Olympics. The team surpassed its goal of $2,000, raising a total of $2,335!

And as promised with your gracious donation, here is the soaking wet evidence! The video taken from the entire day of activities will soon follow, but for now you can enjoy the photographic evidence from Saturday's plunge.

Our colorful characters included Thunder, Iron Man, The Banana, Red-Man, Frau, Sponge Bob, and Bat-Girl (yours truly)! The water was cold, but the event was heartwarming. The number of people who came out and supported such a worthy cause was incredible. It was beautiful to see so many people come together to support a great cause.

As a member of the Storm Baseball Polar Plunge Team, I speak for us all when I say we appreciate every single one of you for your heartfelt support.
