A resident of Chula Vista, a city in San Diego County, decorated his house and front lawn as a tribute/memorial to recently passed Padres legend Tony Gwynn. A perfect potpourri of Christmas spirit and Padres pride. He lives along Chula Vista's famous Christmas Tree Circle, a popular place to view lights during the holiday season. See map below for location and directions.

Whitney St./Mankato - Christmas Circle between First and Second Ave., off H St. & 1st Ave., Dec. 11 through Dec.26, 5 to 10 pm. Over 55 homes decorated.
When you think about it Mr. Padre is as close as the team has to their own Santa Claus. A jolly fellow with an infectious laugh that gave so much of himself to the city of San Diego and Padres fans. I'm going to definitely have to stop by this house in the coming weeks. I love it.

As it turns out the owner of the house is former Aztec baseball player Craig Rasmussen, who played under Gwynn while he was a coach at SDSU.
