Bud Black Friday

Thanksgiving is coming up, and that means Black Friday is just around the corner. Or should we say... BUD BLACK FRIDAY?! From 1:00 to 2:00 on Friday afternoon the 2010 NL Manager of the Year will be at the Padres store down at Petco Park for a meet and greet with fans.

This is a great opportunity for ALL Padres fans. If you're like me and a fan of Buddy, you can go meet him and exchange pleasantries, take pictures, and talk Padres or Aztecs or the holidays or the weather or whatever. If you're of the #FireBudBlack variety of Padres fan, this is your opportunity to step out from behind the computer screen and tell him to his face how much better someone else (yourself even!) would be at doing his job. It's fun for the whole family!

Also, while you're down there you might as well give the Padres more of your money. If you spend at least $75 you get an awful free blue Padres hoodie. They had some great sales on Padres gear when I was down there last month, so hopefully there will still be some good stuff left. You can get all your holiday shopping done in one trip! (Hint: I need a new Padres hat - I like brown - or some minor league gear.)

If I make it out on Friday I'm gonna walk in drinking a venti americano (his - and my - fave drink from Starbucks, duh) and strike up a conversation about the Aztecs basketball team and then try to work in the phrase "That's baseball, amirite?" I hope he wears his baseball pants.
