I saw this tweet from the Red Sox organist retweeted yesterday. It's about the fact that only two players in Red Sox history have all the letters of their team name in their own names.
Xander Bogaerts is 2nd player in team history w/ the letters R,E,D,S,O,X in his name. Jennings Poindexter played 3 games for Boston in 1936.

I instantly wanted to know the equivalent Padres players. There must be more than three since there's no "X" in "Padres" and a player named "Pedro" is already so close.
So who are those players who have all six of those special letters in their names? First I needed a list of all players who have donned a Padres uniform. I reached out to TheThinGwynn for help navigating the Baseball-Reference search functionality. I can never get it to work on my own. He supplied me with a list of Padres players and I searched them.
Of the 860 Padres players, I came up with only five who met the criteria. Here they are:
