Game Thread: 07/07 Padres @ Nationals

I just want to go home! I can not recall a worse road trip ever. EVER! Can you? The Padres were showing so much promise last month. Was that the fluke? Maybe they are who we thought they were? I don't know what to think. At least we get to see San Diego's own Stephen Strasburg today. Too bad he plays for D.C.

Strasburg got me thinking about SDSU. I remember a bunch of us went down for the first baseball game ever played at Petco, the Aztec Invitational in 2004. I started going through some old pictures when I came across this photo of Dex at that game (I'm in the foreground). For those of you who don't know who Dex is, he was a key part in starting this very blog. He would write stories, share crazy ideas, make us laugh. But that was a long time ago. Anyway this is what he looked like... Crazy_dex_medium

I also came a across some old pics of Petco. I might share some of them later. Jbox, Kev and I did a tour of the park a few months before the baseball season started. I can't believe we are already in our tenth season downtown.

Go Padres! Go Strasburg! Go Baseball!
