Tonight's game is a must-win affair, with the Padres hovering a half game above the Dodgers in the standings. Plus, there's the whole sweep thing and the accompanying humiliation.
Clayton Kershaw has been extra Clayton Kershawish this season but he did lose his last start to San Diego and, as laid out in the preview, a number of Padres starters have raked against him in the past.
The Padres are answering with Jason Marquis. He's already beat the Dodgers once this season and isn't afraid to do it again.
